Did you catch that gorgeous June full moon last night. It was spectacular, not only in fullness but in its color. A warm tinted honey color.
I couldn’t capture it with my camera, but I’ll watch for the Honey Moon again tonight.
It’s not only beautiful, but there is a specialness to a full amber moon on Friday the 13th.
The last time it happened was on Oct. 13, 2000, and it won’t occur again until Aug. 13, 2049.
For those with triskaidekaphobia — the fear of the number 13-it may be a doublly unlucky day.
But a couple of years ago, a woman won a $27 million jackpot in the Michigan Lottery on Friday the 13th.

Time.com says it’s a good day to invest.
So, I’ve decided it’s a doubly lucky day.
“Tell me what you feel in your room when the full moon is shining in upon you and your lamp is dying out, and I will tell you how old you are, and I shall know if you are happy.”- Henri Frederic Amiel
Have a doubly happy weekend!
To enjoy the full moon and Friday the 13th I’m going to admire a moonbow at the Lower Yosemite Falls tonight. Will keep you posted!
Last night I took a picture of the full moon with my phone and it was hard to know if it was the sun or the moon.
Lovely post, Mona.
